Winners Announced for Data Centre World Awards 2025 !







The Data Centre World Awards 2025 celebrated innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the data centre industry at a prestigious awards ceremony held at Data Centre World, part of Tech Show London at Excel London (12-13 March 2025).

This year’s edition featured three new categories, reflecting the evolving nature of the industry: the AI Excellence Award, the Technology Project of the Year Award, and the Security of Tech Award. These new categories shine a spotlight on the vital role data centres play in powering the latest tech breakthroughs.

Honouring groundbreaking projects, cutting-edge technologies, and industry leaders, the DCW Awards serve as a benchmark for excellence, recognising achievements in energy efficiency, security, AI integration, and operational resilience.

The competition was fierce, with a remarkable selection of shortlisted nominees across multiple categories. After a rigorous judging process, this year’s winners were announced in front of leading industry experts, innovators, and executives.

Special Contribution to Improving Energy Efficiency

EkkoSense, a leader in AI-powered data centre optimisation software, entered this category for its partnership with CBRE. Using EkkoSoft Critical to save energy, the partnership has unlocked annual CO2 emissions reduction of almost 5,000 tonnes CO2=eq. for companies such as colo Telehouse

Most Successfully Delivered Data Centre

Vantage’s BER12 hyperscale facility in Berlin was delivered ahead of schedule and within budget. The project took just 23 months to complete from start to finish, inclusive of land surveying, groundworks, construction, M&E installation and data modules build-out. There were zero lost-time incidents over 900,000 hours – a testament to the EHS regime.

Green Data Centre of the Year

Atos is a global leader in digital transformation with 82,000 employees worldwide. They manage 27 data centres worldwide. Over 12 months they managed a 15% decrease in global energy consumption. This has been achieved through the integration of design and operational practices to prioritise emissions reduction and sustainability.

Judges’ Comments: “Good initiatives have been defined, and there is a comprehensive range of initiatives applied to achieve significant improvement to the range of KPIs. A comprehensive approach to Net Zero that incorporates energy efficiency, heat reuse, supply of renewables with a good eye on tackling the biodiversity crisis.”
Best Data Centre Operator

This organisation also offer a a focused-based training programme, extra resources for the DC community.”
